Lets talk arm party. They seem to be everywhere you look on Instagram, Pinterest and Blogs! I'm a huuuge fan of a good arm party and was generally anti-bracelet until very recently. When I got my Michael Kors watch for my birthday, I timidly ventured into the world of arm parties. My biggest issue is that for some odd reason I have always worn my watches on my right hand. Not a problem for you lefties but as a righty, an arm party quickly gets irritating if I'm attempting to do anything productive. Moral of the story, I've decided to, for style sake, suck it up and do my best to remain productive despite a happenin' arm party.  I've started off slowly typically with just one bracelet, but as my collection grows I'm becoming more open to a whole stack! Top 5 Standbys

Summer is the best time for all kinds of new fun beauty trends. No matter what the trends, I still have my go-to, standby products. Here is the short list!

1. Bobby Pins! With summer in full swing my unruly hair can always use a bobby pin (or 5!). I never leave home without them. I have them scattered in my car, my room, my make-up bags and everywhere in between. I have some great brunette bobby pins but I'm on the hunt for a 'redhead' version. Any suggestions?

2.Water with lemon. Growing up, pop (yes, I say pop not soda) was a luxury. We never had pop in the house and only drank water at restaurants. Thanks to my parents I still rarely drink it-except in the occasional cocktail. Therefore-"water with lemon" has become a standby at home as well as whenever I go out to eat. As with most of these standbys of mine, I've never been a huge fan of plain Jane water but add a slice of lemon and it's instantly delicious! Apparently its also good for you liver(?) but it had me at the taste. 

3. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer: I use this absolutely everyday. No exceptions. I love the texture of the lotion itself and the fact that it has spf 15 is perfect for my pale freckly face ;) it has a little shimmer in it too! I previously used the tinted version which is excellent as well!

4. Nivea Lip Balm: OMG if you haven't tried this lip balm (in any variety) do it now. At $2.99 its a bit of a splurge but oh-so worth it. once you use this you will literally be addicted. I've never been  "Chapstick" girl because i thought the texture was too hard. well this stuff melts like butter on your lips and laassttss! 

5. Essie. who doesn't love Essie? It goes without saying that it is a great quality polish that never fails to make me swoon over the gorgeous colors. I think we have all had that "hallelujah" moment when you find a bottle at TJMaxx or in the clearance section at Ulta!

Weak in the Keys

I have always been addicted to online shopping and after a month of no shopping for the Closet Remix Challenge I have to admit I've gone on a bit of a binge. I realize that it totally defeats the purpose of not shopping for a month but sometimes I just can't pass up a deal!! Between VeryJane, GroopDealz and J.Crew Factory's sales I have acquired lots of new goodies in the last few weeks. Here are a few of my new additions...

I'm already in love with this skirt! This is how I styled it for a BBQ with my guy and his family. My only complaint? It's a little sheer so I had to jerry-rig my top so I could tuck it in without it showing ;)

Farewell First Big Girl Apartment

I can't believe its been (over) a year since I moved into my first apartment after college. My sister and I have been sharing a 2 bedroom apartment and, as of today, we are moving out! Exciting and a little sad, I suppose. We have loved this little place but its definitely time to move on. I recently accepted a new job further east and most of our friends are far away, so we decided a move was in order. Conveniently, my sister's close friend from college recently purchased her first home (Congrats Casey!) and we will be moving in with her this weekend! The task is daunting, indeed but with the advertisement of pizza and drinks I don't think we'll be short on help ;)

What does all this mean for RLF and all of you lovely people?? Let the DIY and decor posts begin! I'm a huge crafter and love decorating so a new place will mean lots of new projects! Stay tuned for a mini tour of our new abode and my tips on making a smooth transition.

Since I'll be slaving away with the move, I'll be living vicariously through you all! What are your weekend plans?

I have yet to wear them but am so excited to style them! Navy is a staple in my wardrobe because it goes with everything! I can easily see myself wearing these shorts for all occasions. They are a great light-weight linen/cotton blend, too! Which of these are your favorite? What else would you pair with these great little shorts?

Tuesday Tunes: #Beautiful

Tuesday Tunes: Confession: I'm a compulsive hummer. My family will tell you that I've been this way my whole life. Always have a song stuck in my head, always humming (and usually dancing) and I'm not afraid to admit it. I absolutely love music and if its not actually playing, its playing in my head! Therefore, every Tuesday I'd like to share with you whats hum-worthy! I've recently expanded my musical interests so I'm hoping I can introduce you to some new music as well as reminisce on some old favorites...Here's your first Tuesdays Tunes!

I'm sure I'm not alone in my love for hashtags. It wasn't until recently that I realized that the title of this song-that has been stuck in my head nonstop-was actually a hashtag! I've been a fan of Miguel for some time and who doesn't love some Mariah?? This is a great summer jam that I love to sing along to and if you haven't already heard it, I hope you enjoy it!
